Why our academy

In a short time, up to skills you can use at work.

From the trip out to graduation, and on to how you will work afterwards. The whole path is laid out in view.

  1. 01

The latest Korean technique, taught intensively

Classes of no more than two, taught one to one, so you take on Korean permanent makeup technique in a short, focused block.

  2. 02

Taught directly by a leading Korean artist

A practising, nationally qualified top permanent makeup artist from Korea teaches every session.

  3. 03

All the way to real treatments on models

It does not stop at practice. You work on real models, so you see the whole path through until the technique is yours.

  4. 04

    Final assessment and diploma

After the final assessment and the model treatments reviewed once you are home, we issue your diploma (certificate of completion).

  5. 05

    Support with work after graduation

We support you into work at a partner medical institution, and set out what working life looks like after you graduate.

Before you decide

Any of these on your mind?

Questions we are actually asked by nurses moving into permanent makeup.

I am a complete beginner — will I manage?

One to one, in a small class, so you really learn.

Your instructor teaches you one to one, so you can pick up the technique even in a short time. The curriculum is rearranged around the parts you find hard, so beginners can take the course with confidence.

I cannot take a long block of leave

You can split the course.

A single course can be taken across several visits — a three-day course over two trips, a five-day course over three. Some students take the course while continuing to work as nurses.

How do I find somewhere to work?

We provide support into work.

BROW DE MAIN ACADEMY works in partnership with TAKE1 Inc. and supports graduates into work. We can set out how working at a partner medical institution would look for you.

About split attendance

A single course can be taken across several visits — a three-day course over two trips, or a five-day course over three, for example. It is a popular choice for students who keep working while they train.

Every course leads to a diploma

After the final assessment and the model treatments reviewed once you are home, we issue your diploma (certificate of completion). Diploma holders are supported into work at a partner medical institution.

Flights and accommodation are not included in the course fee (we are happy to suggest options). The timetable and course content may change.

Technique stays with you in proportion to what your hands have learned, not to the hours you sat and listened. That is why this course gives you more time with your hands moving than watching. I want you to go home with technique you can use from that same day.

After graduation

A plan that reaches past graduation.

After graduating you can work at a partner medical institution, adding permanent makeup to a second source of income that draws on your nursing qualification. Not only what you enjoy or find meaningful, but a way of working you can realistically sustain — that is what sets BROW DE MAIN ACADEMY apart.

  • Permanent makeup treatments
  • Medical corporation work (drawing on your nursing qualification)

Income that does not rest on permanent makeup alone

For graduates

The same tools, after you graduate.

The machines, pigments and needles used in class can be ordered from our online store for graduates. Because you carry on with the same tools, you can start treating with the feel you built in class.

From graduates

From students who took the course.

“Five days that flew by — and I could practise on my own too.”

Because I could practise until 19:00 after the day’s class ended, I got what I had learned into my hands the same day. Having someone close enough to ask the moment I got stuck made a real difference.

5-day course / January 2026 intake

“I started with no experience and my hands learned.”

Permanent makeup was completely new to me, but the steps ran from rubber pads to mannequins to models, so I never felt left behind. They focused on the left-right balance I struggled with.

4-day course / February 2026 intake

“I finished over two trips while still working.”

It was hard to take a long block of leave, so being able to split the course settled it for me. I could ask questions in Japanese between trips, so I never felt I had lost ground.

3-day course / March 2026 intake

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can I take the course with no permanent makeup experience?

Yes. If you hold a nursing qualification, or are a dental hygienist (lips only), the course is built so that you can start from the basics with no experience. We work at your pace and level, so please do not worry.

Can I work in Japan, or will you introduce me to work?

Students who complete the designated course and receive a diploma are supported into work at a partner medical institution.

Is there any legal issue?

Permanent makeup in Japan requires a medical or nursing qualification and the structure of a medical institution. After you graduate, we set you up to treat under a partner medical institution.

I am nervous about arranging travel and accommodation…

We help in Japanese with choosing flights and accommodation and working out how long to stay, so you can prepare even if this is your first training trip abroad. We do not make bookings on your behalf.

What does it cost?

Course fees are JPY 400,000 for the lip course, JPY 600,000 for three days, JPY 700,000 for four days and JPY 1,000,000 for five days, all excluding tax. Flights and accommodation are not included. There is a 10% pair discount when two apply together.

Is there any support after the course?

We remain available for questions in Japanese after you finish. As well as help buying consumables once you are home, we support you into work at a partner medical institution.

Do I have to apply straight away?

No. We are glad to hear from you at the stage of simply wanting to know more. Start with a DM on Instagram.

Who runs and supports the academy?

TAKE1 Inc. runs the academy, and BROW DE MAIN ACADEMY in Seoul, Korea teaches the course. From application through to aftercare, everything is handled in Japanese.
